About Us
The Hurlbut Funeral Home was founded in 1940 by Raymond and Marion Hurlbut. Mr. Hurlbut not only owned the funeral home but provided an ambulance service for the area until 1974. In 1950 his son-in-law William A Jay became a licensed funeral director working at the funeral home until his death in 1982. In 1980 Mr. Hurlbut's grandson Keith G Jay returned to work at the family funeral home as a licensed funeral director and became the owner and manager Jan. 1, 1987 after Mr. Hurlbut's death in 1986. Having grown up in Interlaken and being involved in many local organizations in leadership and assisting rolls, Mr. Jay is proud to be the third generation that is able to serve his community.
